2008 Utah High Peaks Model T Ford Tour

This is a brief account of the 2008 Utah Model T Ford Tour. This was a 17 day, 2,100 mile driving tour organized by the Colorado High Peaks Club from September 17 – October 10. The tour began in Evanston WY and went south through Utah, circled east through Arizona and headed north back to Evanston. We visited over 20 National Parks and Monuments.

11 Cars began and all finished the tour. Our overnights were in: Evanston WY, Haber City UT, Nephi UT, Green River UT, Moab UT, Ticaboo UT, Torrey UT, Bryce Canyon Park UT, Springdale UT, Kanab UT, Salina UT, Vernal UT to Evanston UT. Along the way we visited: Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Cascade Springs, American Fork Canyon, Thanksgiving Point, Mt. Nebo Loop Rd., Salt Creek Canyon, Dead Horse Point, Canyonlands, LaSalle Loop, Potash Rd., Arches Nat’t Park, Clay Hill Pass, Ferry Across Lake Powell, Natural Bridge Nat’l Monument, Capital Reef Nat’l Park, Boulder Mountain over the Clem Church Memorial Hwy, Grand Staircase Escalante Nat’l Park, Anasazi Indian State Park, Burr Trail, Kodachrome Basin & Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Nat’l Monument, Zion Park, Kanab, Johnson Canyon Movie Sets, North Rim Grand Canyon, Kanab Creek Overlook, Tarroweek, Pipe Springs Natl Monument, Ordersville, Glendale, Hatch, Panquitch, Circleville, Big Rock Candy Mountain, Vernal, Dinosaur Nat’l Monument, Split Mountain, Green River, Ouray Indian Reservation, Flaming Gorge Dam, Dutch John and Fort Bridger.
